We are seeking a part-time Band 2 Healthcare Assistant to join our community service in West Glamorgan, on a permanent basis. Main duties of the job Band 2 Healthcare Assistants provide essential personal care and support to patients nearing the end of life, assisting with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, and mobility while maintaining dignity and respect. They work under the guidance of registered nurses, monitoring patient wellbeing, reporting concerns, and helping to create a safe and supportive hospital environment. Job responsibilities Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £24,833 pro rata per annum + enhancements Contract: Permanent, Part‑Time 22.5 hours per week. Day Shifts Monday Friday, between the hours of 08:00am 10:00pm. Based: Community Based West Glamorgan As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team delivering holistic, person‑centred end‑of‑life care. Working under the guidance of registered professionals, you'll support patients and those important to them with personal care, symptom management, and emotional support. You'll contribute to care planning, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe and dignified environment. This is a compassionate and hands‑on role where you'll make a meaningful difference in peoples' lives during their final stages, while also supporting their loved ones through grief and bereavement.
