Job Description If you are looking to broaden your industry experience and progress your career within cost management, our Manchester team is seeking experienced Cost Managers to develop into a senior position. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of industry‑leading infrastructure projects across sectors including transportation, utilities and highways. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will work on exciting projects, developing your skill‑set both operationally and technically, and benefit from excellent training, qualifications advancement, and portfolio diversification. Job Objectives Establish friendly, professional relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties. Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies. Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting, aligning with budget. Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow. Collaborate with client and contractor teams on deliverables, KPIs and objectives. Manage contract changes effectively, keeping projects within governance. Drive improvements in forecast and budget accuracy. Provide sound commercial support to stakeholders. Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed. Lead people and commissions as needed. Qualifications Excellent communication. Contract Management (NEC3, Option C preferred). Cost Management. Change management and control. Valuation. Risk Management. Procurement. Estimating. Pricing. Reporting. Collaborative approach and best‑for‑project attitude. Sharing best practice. People management. Commission management. Driving efficiencies and improvements through the project life cycle. Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters. Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent). Ideally holding or working towards an appropriate professional body membership.
