About the Role As a locum Consultant in General Medicine, you’ll deliver high-quality care to patients across a range of acute and general medical settings. Responsibilities Managing inpatient and outpatient general medicine services. Supporting junior doctors and MDTs. Contributing to service development and audits. Providing high-quality patient care. Clinical sessions – 6 clinics per week on days to suit the service due to availability of clinic rooms in outpatients. New clinics initially until follow up demand required – 6 new appointments per clinical session. Location at both UHW and UHL. 1 admin session. MDT/radiology meeting Wednesday weekly. Rheumatology service day on-call consultant rota shared with team. What We're Looking For Essential UK experience required. MBBS or equivalent medical degree. Full GMC registration with a licence to practise. CCT in General Medicine (or within 6 months of achieving it). A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check, or willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process. UK Right to Work. Strong communication and teamworking skills. Desirable CCT in General Medicine (or within 6 months of achieving it).
