Associate Planner

Associate Planner – London Join Lanpro Group as an Associate Planner, leading planning applications and supporting the Regional Director. Responsibilities Prepare and submit planning applications. Prepare written local plan representations. Undertake site inspections and assess the merits of proposals. Guide engineers and architects on the production of drawings and supplementary information for planning submissions. Submit planning appeals, lead written representation appeals, and contribute to appeal hearings as required. Project manage a mix of planning submissions and appeals. Conduct technical planning work, including liaising with clients, preparing fee proposals, and conducting policy research. Interpret, organise, research, analyse and execute major and medium‑scale projects. Provide fee control, technical direction, and manage senior client liaison. Negotiate best terms for the business, managing legal and contractual aspects. Generate a high proportion of own workload through understanding of market and services. Develop and implement innovative methods to enhance solutions and outcomes. Maintain day‑to‑day management of budgets and WIP on projects within area of responsibility. Qualifications RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline (essential). Experience working in a London planning consultancy (essential). Preferably a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or be working towards it. At least two years’ post‑qualification experience in a relevant role. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Strong client liaison ability. Strong negotiation and commercial etiquette. Project management skills.
