Rumworth School Permanent Teaching Assistant Level 2 We are looking to recruit a permanent TA2 Teaching Assistant to meet specific student needs across the school. The post is students aged 11-19 who all have an EHCP and a range of SEND, including Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Hearing and Visual Impairment, Physical Disability and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Responsibilities As a TA you will support teachers in small teaching groups, deliver classroom support, help with lesson preparation, manage behaviour, provide one‑to‑one support where required and contribute to pupil progress. You will work closely with specialist subject teachers on science, design technology, forest school, art, music, PE, ICT and other curriculum areas. Your role will also include supporting the Year 7 Foundation class transition, working with year 8 to 11 differentiated curriculum groups, and contributing to external accreditation and transition programmes at KS4 and KS5. Qualifications Applicants must have GCSE grade C or above in maths and English (or equivalent qualifications). Candidates should demonstrate good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills. Proof of qualifications must be provided at interview or prior to appointment.
