What you will do In this position, you will lead independent deep‑dive analysis into Klarna’s consumer lending portfolios, generating insights that inform and strengthen underwriting strategies across the business. You will perform 2nd line monitoring of financial risks, ensuring alignment with Klarna’s risk appetite while identifying emerging risk trends that require action. You will scope and deliver ad hoc deep dives into financial risk processes, collaborating closely with teams across the company to surface improvements. You will contribute in key risk committees by presenting independent analysis and perspectives. You will also review product changes from a risk standpoint and collaborate with model risk experts to refine methodologies, stress‑testing approaches, and occasionally support validation of financial risk models. Who you are Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics or related fields 7–10+ years of experience in risk management, credit risk, or treasury within financial institutions or consulting/audit environments Deep understanding of how to measure and manage consumer credit, institutional credit, foreign exchange, interest rate, or liquidity risks Proven experience conducting complex analytical investigations and transforming findings into clear, actionable recommendations Strong ability to work independently in a second‑line context while partnering effectively with cross‑functional teams Excellent communication skills with the ability to present risk insights to senior stakeholders Working proficiency in English, both written and verbal Awesome to have Experience with consumer credit portfolios in multiple markets Familiarity with stress testing frameworks, financial risk modelling, or model validation Experience working in regulated financial environments Understanding of data extraction, manipulation, or programming tools such as SQL or Python Please include a CV in English.
