Together with mechanical and electrical engineers, we provide integrated building services to our clients. The Opportunity We are looking for Mechanical Building Services Engineers at all levels to join our growing teams and contribute to a wide variety of exciting, technically challenging and cutting‑edge projects across sectors, including Rail, Science & Industry, Data Centres, Education, Residential, Commercial and Healthcare. Whether you are early in your career or have years of experience, you will shape sustainable, efficient and innovative mechanical systems that support the functionality and wellbeing of diverse environments. From feasibility studies and detailed design to completion, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions that make a real impact. Key Experience & Skills Multi‑disciplinary projects across a variety of sectors – collaborate across engineering and architectural teams to design and integrate efficient, sustainable, and technically robust mechanical systems tailored to the unique demands of diverse sectors. Data Centres & Mission Critical Projects – design and deliver resilient HVAC, ventilation and environmental control systems that ensure operational continuity, safety and compliance with stringent performance and regulatory standards. Decarbonisation Strategies – develop strategies for new and existing assets, including life‑cycle carbon and costing optioning assessments and the use of analytical tools and economic models to optimise asset energy, carbon and financial performance. Coding / Digital – leverage software development and automation tools to enhance the design, simulation and performance analysis of mechanical systems, enabling smarter, more efficient solutions across complex, multidisciplinary projects. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or Architectural Engineering. Chartered, working towards chartership or keen to pursue chartership with a supportive employer. Demonstrable background in mechanical building services design with knowledge and interest in sustainable building design in terms of both energy and carbon. Proficiency in BIM environments, particularly Revit, and experience with dynamic thermal modelling (preferably IES). Senior / Principal levels: strong leadership and strategic leadership skills to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, manage project teams, provide technical oversight, quality assurance, and strategic direction, and support business development and client engagement in sustainable and digital engineering. Commercial awareness and experience in predicting, planning and managing resources to achieve financial targets.
