About the RolePennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a full‑time substantive Consultant Psychiatrist. This post is based on the Early Intervention Model in Rochdale and is a Community post.This post will be based at the Outpatients Department, Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale. The local service operates an Inpatient‑Outpatient model (New Ways of Working) and is staffed by nine full‑time Consultants in Adult Psychiatry and Old Age Psychiatry and a nurse consultant on the female adult ward. Each Consultant Psychiatrist is allocated a Junior Doctor from the NW Deanery training schemes to work with them.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultant psychiatric input to a high‑functioning community Early Intervention Service (EIS) as part of a multidisciplinary service.Deliver comprehensive assessments and NICE‑concordant treatment packages of care to all patients.Provide high‑quality mental health care for adults following the EIS frameworks.Work closely with other teams and consultants to ensure coherent and high‑quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (Rochdale borough) area.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support service development and attend local and divisional service‑development meetings.Contribute to teaching of medical and nursing staff, given Rochdale’s strong teaching commitment.Engage with local service user and carer groups and maintain close links to ongoing research projects.Eligibility & QualificationsApplicants must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion, or be within six months of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry at the time of interview for the post.Employment DetailsLow‑frequency on‑call: 1 in 31, with full second‑tier on‑call and one day off after your on‑call.Ample opportunities for professional development and additional work for additional PAs (requires negotiation).This advert closes on Wednesday 3 Dec 2025. #J-18808-Ljbffr
