Band 6 Community Midwife – Permanent Band 6 NMC Registered Midwives needed to join our community midwifery team across Tameside and Glossop. Overview Our community midwifery services provide high standards of evidence‑based, personalised care from hospital and community bases across Tameside and Glossop. Key Responsibilities Deliver antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care autonomously within a multidisciplinary team. Advocate for and provide holistic, individualised care to meet the needs of each patient. Adhere to local guidelines and pathways, exercising professionalism, initiative and sound clinical judgement. Appropriately refer and collaborate with our MDT and partner agencies. Provide on‑call intrapartum care to support the homebirth service. Work within flexible hours, including varying shifts. Qualifications & Experience Band 6 midwives with post‑qualification NHS experience who are comfortable working in community and intrapartum settings are expected. Candidates should be confident, possess excellent interpersonal and clinical skills, and be able to operate autonomously.
