ABC Teachers are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming village primary school situated on the outskirts of Newport, Shropshire. This long-term position will cover a mixed Year 1/2 class from January through to July 2026.
The role
The role includes:
Full-time class teaching responsibilities for a mixed Year 1/2 class.
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum (some shared planning provided).
Taking responsibility for assessment, progress tracking, and communication with parents.
Contributing to the wider school community and upholding the school’s values.

Requirements
To be considered for the Year 1/2 Teacher position, you will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have experience teaching the KS1 curriculum, ideally within a mixed-age class setting.
Be committed to a full-time role from January to July 2026.
Be confident in planning, assessing and liaising with parents and colleagues.
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a DBS registered to the Update Service.
Provide two recent professional references.
