Role Definition As a Strategic Project consultant you will coordinate the management of multiple, related high-priority and/or high-risk projects where the project's scope is aligned with key strategic initiatives. Lead project teams to deliver complex business, integration, implementation projects, and continuous improvement/lean efforts. Responsibilities Apply program and project management principles to manage scope, timeline, resources, stakeholders, and risk throughout the lifecycle of strategic initiatives. Lead high-priority projects to achieve measurable business process improvements. Providing technical training and guidance for continuous improvement on the planning, development and implementation of process improvement. Utilize facilitation and consultancy skills to assist leaders in identifying growth opportunities and planning strategically. Defines the critical workflow for executing key processes. Identifies process problems that limit performance. Implements methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes. Surfaces systemic problems to be addressed at the organizational level. Project Management Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements. Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project. Produces standard project status reports. Six Sigma Methodology Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes. Guides on the choice and use of appropriate tools to measure existing performance. Estimates the root cause of quality or service related problems. Resolves various obstacles and problems in performance improvement. Facilitates changes to improve performance in relation to costs or quality of products and services. Consideration for Top Candidates Previous experience supporting and managing projects in Finance, Credit and operations. Strong ability to not only lead a project and a group of SMEs but also actively participate in project work and support in the requirements for delivery / Implementation. 6 Sigma background Project Management Professional certification (PMP) Job Details Job Title: Strategic Project Consultant - Structured Finance Salary: £60,433 - £78,563 Contract: Permanent.
