Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities Develop, implement, maintain, and review systems and services to ensure delivery of best practices whilst working with stakeholders at all levels to set priorities, objectives, and timescales. Identifying and automating toil where appropriate, to improve efficiency, and experience automating tasks with scripts, using python and bash. Writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab or equivalent. Managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure services and cloud networking. Experience responding to alerts and performing troubleshooting using runbooks. About the Role You and your role We're looking for Cloud Infrastructure Engineers who thrive in modern cloud environments and enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges. You'll be hands‑on with AWS, Azure or GCP using infrastructure‑as‑code, CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native networking to build and maintain secure, scalable platforms. You'll design with resilience and security in mind, embedding controls to mitigate threats and ensure our services stay reliable and performant. Expect to work closely with other engineering teams, with the autonomy to shape solutions that meet real user needs. You'll be part of the team that keeps DWP's cloud services running smoothly, supporting live products, responding to incidents and continuously improving our infrastructure.
