The team works with adults and children, and our support continues into bereavement.As a counsellor, you will demonstrate sensitivity and understanding while remaining calm in emotionally charged situations. You will be able to cope with change and uncertainty, develop and facilitate groups and activities, and assess referrals to allocate appropriate support. Your role also involves providing immediate assistance on the bedded unit and managing your own individual caseload. Would you like to be a team player within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where we thrive by looking after each other? Qualifications A qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy to at least level 4 diploma. Or equivalent therapeutic qualification Highly developed communication and assessment skills Experience of working with loss and grief An understanding of the emotional and spiritual impact of illness, loss and suffering Awareness of current issues in palliative and end of life care. Experience of one-to-one interventions and demonstrable skills in counselling.
