It is a place where we recognise, celebrate and live our values which includes offering a range of inclusive employment policies and staff engagement forums to support employees from all backgrounds.Main duties of the jobMAIN PURPOSE:To work as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team providing speech and language therapy input within the Brainkind neurobehavioral model to clients with acquired brain injury in liaison with internal and external professionals, relevant social networks, and People We Support.With supervision, work as an autonomous clinical professional in a specialist area.To work within the limits of own competence and area of responsibility and accountability, seeking help and advice where needed.With supervision, work with a range of People We Support with complex: physical, mental, emotional health needs and/or challenging behaviours social care models deteriorating abilities.With supervision, use evidence-based practice, person centred principles and clinical reasoning to undertake comprehensive assessments, considering environment, context, social networks and future plans, of People We Support in order to formulate appropriate: rehabilitation goals, care plans, communication therapy programmes, referrals, communication partner trainingWith supervision, evaluate service user progress and make alterations as required.With supervision, develop an understanding of the neurobehavioral approach to brain injury, demonstrating knowledge of current research findings, and best practice in the field.With supervision, overcome barriers in communication to actively engage People We Support in assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning to gain valid informed consent.
