Team Manager – Children We Care For Team Band G £54,495 - £61,379 per annum. We have an opportunity for an experienced and committed Team Manager to join our Children We Care for Team. We are looking for exceptional candidates who are passionate about improving the lives of children, young people and their families, here in Solihull. The Role You will be responsible for the leadership and management of a social work team for children and young people we care for. We have a relentless focus on permanency for children and young people underpinned by robust care planning. We believe that all children deserve to grow up in stable, loving homes wherever possible and that a safe home within their own relational network provides the best outcome. Children who grow up within their own network tend to lead happier childhoods and achieve better outcomes. As one of the Team Managers in the service, you will lead on operational developments alongside our partners and work with others to develop the service. You will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day operational management of a team of social workers and family support practitioners, ensuring that children and young people receive a good quality, trauma‑informed and responsive service that promotes and safeguards their welfare. You will also have the opportunity to be creative, influence practice and promote a learning environment where team members can develop their skills, enabling them to do their job well and support children to achieve positive outcomes. About you You will be social work qualified, registered with Social Work England and you will have substantial post‑qualifying experience of practice with young people and their carers. You will also have: Management experience working within a pressurised children’s social work environment Knowledge of relevant up‑to‑date social work legislation, statutory guidance, theories and research and how it impacts on practice PQ or Practice Teaching Accreditation, or be working towards / willing to complete Excellent spoken and written communication skills, to build strong relationships with children, young people and their families/carers, as well as wider partners and voluntary agencies A full driving licence and access to a car, though reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled applicants where required.
