Overview A great opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer to join a forward‑thinking consultancy delivering civil engineering, environmental and project management services across the UK. This is an ideal role for an engineer with around two years of experience who is ready to take on more technical responsibility while being supported by a highly experienced team. Responsibilities As a Civil Engineer, you will work across a wide range of projects, preparing general arrangement drawings, detailed designs and technical documents for drainage, highways and wider civil engineering works. You will be involved in design tasks using British Standards, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Sewerage Sector Guidance, as well as supporting project delivery from concept through to submission. You will work closely with senior engineers and CAD technicians, helping to translate engineering concepts into accurate and practical design outputs. The role also offers valuable exposure beyond office‑based design, including contributing to topographical surveys, supervising trial hole investigations and undertaking site inspections. This provides a strong platform for developing both your technical design capability and wider project delivery skills. Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Minimum two years experience in a Civil Engineering role. Ability to produce basic AutoCAD drawings. Understanding of design software such as Civil 3D and WinDes or willingness to learn. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work to deadlines with a structured approach. Full UK driving licence.
