Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to FridayCreating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care…Purpose of RoleWe are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to manage various multi-million commercial refurb projects for our Defence contract.You will be responsible for site H&S and the performance of our subcontractors on all of our sites ( which are based at the same location) while monitoring schedule, issues management and liaison with the building and the project management team.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have previous construction management experience from managing refurbishments and new build projects; an ideal candidate will have Tier 1 contractor experience as well as previously worked on an MOD site.Responsibilities- Motivating and supervising construction workers and subcontractors- Monitoring build project progress- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings- Conducting quality and safety inspections- Working on-site with the supply chain, the client and the end users- Act as a focal point for the construction phase of our projects- Giving tool box talks to the supply chain- Managing the supply chain return on HSE and Environmental matters such as reporting of statistics, Close calls (near misses) etc.Essential Qualifications/Skills- 5 years working for a Tier 1 contractor.- Previous commercial site experience.- Previous experience on either MoD or highly regulated sites.- Proven ability to manage site safety and performance.- SMSTS + CSCS Card Holder + First Aid (in date)- HSEQ Trained with either a NEBOSH or an IOSH managing safely qualification, Asbestos awareness or management, Legionella awareness or management and a recognised Temporary Works qualification (CITB)- Must hold active High Level Security Clearance Or recently lapsed High Level Security Clearance- Must be a UK Sole National and be prepared to undergo any further clearance process.In return for your hard work we offer additional training and development, 26 days holiday (+ bank holidays), generous pension contribution, life assurance and much more.We are VINCI Facilities – experts in the built environment.
