Join our dynamic team as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer based in Slough, working on a rotating shift pattern. Here, you’ll play a vital role in sustaining the reliability and efficiency of our critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for both our customers and business. Key Responsibilities Proactively maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise facility systems to achieve maximum uptime and performance. Conduct routine site inspections, responding swiftly to building and data centre alarms to address potential issues before they escalate. Lead and participate in hands‑on preventative maintenance, collaborate with vendors, and manage permit‑to‑work processes for essential systems (UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems). Carry out repairs and corrective maintenance, minimising downtime and ensuring service continuity. Plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities to boost reliability and extend asset life. Keep precise and up‑to‑date site documentation, including maintenance logs, MOPs, and operational scripts. Support incident response, working alongside or independently from senior engineers, and actively contribute to on‑site solutions. Deliver on work requests and circuit installations with accuracy and attention to detail. Engage in facility and infrastructure projects aimed at continuous improvement and innovation. About You Possess ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline). Previous experience in data centres, critical environments, or large‑scale facilities is a plus. Deep technical knowledge of UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems; HV switching experience is an advantage. Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or within a collaborative team. Strong communicator, with keen attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
