Maintenance Technician - Estates Join to apply for the Maintenance Technician - Estates role at NHS Scotland. The shift pattern for this post is: Monday–Thursday 08:00‑16:00, Friday 08:00‑15:30 plus on‑call requirement. Role Overview An exciting opportunity for motivated and skilled maintenance technicians with an electrical engineering background within the Estates Department, Vale of Leven Hospital. You will be based at Vale of Leven Hospital and required to work on all sites and properties within the remit of the department as routinely required. This role supports clinical and administrative activities in acute hospital facilities through planned and breakdown maintenance and repair services. Responsibilities Plan and execute maintenance and repair across estates sites. Provide engineering support for building services, plant and equipment. Participate in on‑call rota and unscheduled overtime to complete emergency repairs. Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team. Qualifications and Experience Completed an apprenticeship in Electrical Core Trade and post‑apprenticeship experience equivalent to SVQ Level 4, Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship Level 4, or equivalent. Proven track record of practical core skills and application within the trade. Electrical HNC, B/Tech or City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Craft or equivalent. Valid UK Category B driving licence.
