Supervising Social Worker / Senior Supervising Social Worker Location: Lancaster Community Foster Care is a charity providing foster placements across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Swindon, Cumbria, and Lancashire. We support children and young people aged 0-18 years by finding compassionate and supportive foster carers who can offer stability and security. With nearly 8,000 children in need of foster care in our operation areas, we are committed to making a positive difference in their lives. Our mission is to ensure every child has access to the care and support they deserve to thrive. Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Supervising Social Worker or Senior Supervising Social Worker (depending on experience) to join our team in Lancaster. The role is driven to promote the child or young person’s ambitions or dreams. You will recruit, enable, and enhance foster families to provide safe, stable, loving, nurturing family homes. Children and young people seeking to live within these families often have experienced significant trauma and abuse. Enabling them to thrive requires developing and nurturing special ingredients. Community Foster Care is a therapeutic fostering agency with a reflective culture that encourages curiosity and support. It is critical that workers are committed and prepared to actively engage in this approach.
