Construction Studies Lecturer Construction Studies Lecturer at GEDU Global Education Department: Academic/Bath Spa University partnership (BSU) Location: Leeds (On‑Site) Salary: £51,000 Contract: Full‑time, Permanent (40 hrs per week) Vision: Changing lives through education. No visa sponsorship is available for this role. Flexible teaching schedule across weekdays, evenings and weekends. Responsibilities All aspects of planning, delivering and assessing student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met. Developing, updating and improving course materials. Using a variety of learning and teaching methods. Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties. Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the field and student support practices. Working towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression. Qualifications Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records. Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent). Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
