Flexible working patterns, including job share, are available for all vacancies. The Monitoring Data & Systems Team (MDS) manages important Environmental Monitoring systems and datasets. As a Technical Advisor you will support the team by analysing and improving data that underpins our work, working on Water Quality systems, and supporting other systems and data as needed. Responsibilities Set up and manage users Support users and resolve issues, especially during the transition to our new My Environment application Update, improve and maintain datasets Respond to internal and external data requests Support system improvement and upgrade projects Experience / Skills Required Experience of working with large complex datasets Willingness to develop and learn new technical skills and apply them across monitoring data and systems Motivated, organised, friendly and helpful with an eye for detail, comfortable working in a dispersed team Proactive and enjoys solving problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, deliver through others and provide excellent customer service Desirable Experience / Skills Experience of using and managing environmental monitoring data systems Experience of PowerBI, Access, Excel, Python, SharePoint Online and R Working knowledge of water quality monitoring Benefits Access to a generous benefits package, including annual leave, an excellent pension, flexible working arrangements, and extensive training opportunities, including apprenticeships.
