The Vacancy We’re VIVID –We offer a vibrant, friendly, inclusive culture that supports, develops and attracts the best people We’re recruiting for a Gas Engineer to join our team in Aldershot Contractually based out of our Basingstoke office you’ll cover Aldershot and the surrounding North Hampshire area on a full‑time, permanent basis, working 39 hours per week. Whilst we’ll try to keep you local, you may need to travel to and work from any of our other sites across Hampshire to help other teams when needed. We’ll provide you with a van & fuel card for your travel. You’ll also participate in the emergency on‑call rota. As part of the on‑call rota, you’ll be paid at competitive rates. You’ll also have access to a performance‑related bonus scheme based around productivity, enhancing your on‑target earnings and rewarding you for your hard work On top of the competitive salary, you can benefit from : 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays), with the opportunity to buy or sell annual leave Use of a company van & fuel card for your work travel A productivity‑related bonus scheme to enhance your take‑home Uniform and PPE provided A generous contributory pension of 6%. We’ll match employee contributions between 7% and 10% Life assurance paid at 3 × annual salary Private medical insurance Health care cash plan called Medicash Enhanced pay for maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave Access to counselling, legal and financial information Electric car scheme Huge variety of in‑house & e‑learning courses and a range of coaching and mentoring programmes Here’s the facts about the role : As a gas engineer, you’ll carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing of domestic boilers and appliances in line with gas safety regulations. You’ll identify faults and test controls to ensure they’re in full working order. You’ll complete gas safety checks in line with guidance and regulations, completing all necessary paperwork to fulfil our obligations. You’ll interact with our customers and help them to understand how to effectively use their heating & appliances. Therefore, good communication skills are key You’ll have CCN1, CEN, HTR, unvented and CPA technical qualifications, which you’ll need to provide proof of at interview stage. Essential electrics would be beneficial. You’ll also have a full, clean, current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) so you can drive one of our vans.
