Production Apprenticeship - Level 3 - BBC Radio Oxford Contract Type: Fixed-Term Apprenticeship, Full-time for 13 months Department: BBC Local Radio / South & South East Location: Oxford - Radio Oxford Salary: £22,950 What We Offer Join us as an apprentice to kick‑start a career in BBC radio. You’ll widen your production knowledge while creating content that matters to millions. Key Responsibilities & Impact As a Production Apprentice you’ll work across diverse content, often with early mornings, evenings, and weekends. You Could Be Working On Script‑writing Audio editing for Radio and BBC Sounds Assisting with live radio shows in the studio Meeting contributors Producing video for our social media content and regional TV output Listening to new music in the uploader Helping on events & gigs You’ll learn both on and off the job. We’ll provide learning blocks (up to a week at a time) with our learning provider, working toward the Level 3 Production Assistant apprenticeship qualification. Your Skills And Eligibility We’re interested in your passion for working at the BBC and delivering world‑class content and operational excellence to our audiences. We focus on potential rather than qualifications. Skills Adaptable – adjusting to new situations quickly and efficiently Thriving on variety in their work Good communication skills Love being part of a team Passionate about music and radio within the relevant scene Available to work evenings and some weekends This scheme is aimed at non‑graduates. If you have a degree and want a similar role, we recommend applying through the BBC careers site or other apprenticeship schemes. Eligibility Criteria Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026 Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme, whether with the BBC or another organisation No prior learning is required to apply For candidates under 19 on 8th September 2026: you must have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade #J-18808-Ljbffr
