Our long-standing reputation speaks to the trust and reliability we’ve built within the healthcare sector.Job DescriptionOur Client is seeking compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join our dedicated team based in the Strabane area, providing holistic, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and associated mental health needs. You will play a vital role in supporting people to live meaningful, independent lives; ensuring their dignity, rights, and individuality are respected at all times.This will be a permanent post requiring full time hours (Monday-Sunday) on shift rotation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide holistic day-to-day support in line with individual needs assessments.Deliver person-centred, empowering care that promotes independence and self-determination.Assist with all aspects of personal care, maintaining respect, privacy and dignity.Ensure the Human Rights of each service user are upheld with integrity and respect.Maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment at all times.Promote each individual’s wishes, preferences, skills and abilities, supporting them to live life to their fullest potential.Encourage social inclusion, supporting service users to be valued members of their community.Provide accurate and accessible information to enable informed decision-making.Work in the least restrictive and most enabling way, supporting positive risk-taking.Use a low-arousal, non-aversive approach to behaviour support.Support service users to achieve personal outcomes with clear goals and timeframes.Prioritise supports, meet key commitments, and work in line with evidence-based practice.Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, food safety and infection control.Accurately complete all daily records, risk assessments, reports and documentation.Administer and document medication safely, following the 10 Rights of Medication Administration.Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of service users’ medications and finances, as per policy.Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks (including RQIA standards).Participate in team meetings, reviews and multidisciplinary discussions, sharing feedback and observations appropriately.Contribute positively and professionally to the staff team and wider organisation.Essential RequirementsA relevant third-level qualification (or equivalent) in Social Care or a related disciplineRegistered with NISCC as a Social Care WorkerExperience in a similar care setting (e.g. Residential, Domiciliary, or Day Services).Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism or complex behaviours.Competence in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems (Word, Excel, SharePoint).A full driving licence valid for use in Ireland/UK.Right to Work in the UK/IrelandDesirable RequirementsExperience as a Key Worker or in a leadership role within a care setting.Experience supporting adults with complex needs or behaviours of concern in community settings.Knowledge and experience implementing RQIA Minimum Standards.Further training or certification in Safety Intervention(formerly MAPA), or similar frameworks.What We OfferComprehensive induction and ongoing trainingCareer progression opportunities within a growing organisationA supportive and inclusive team environmentFlexible working patterns to suit your lifestyleOpportunities to make a genuine impact on people’s lives every dayTo ApplySubmit your contact details and CV via the APPLY buttonSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesHospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
