The team is based out of Clayton House in Burscough. We have a variety of shifts available to fit around you and your personal life, the choice is yours Please note that this role requires a full driving licence as it is community based. Responsibilities To work as part of the 24‑hour district nursing service, under the direction of the District Nursing Team Manager / Leader, providing high‑quality holistic care to patients. The District Nurse role carries delegated responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence‑based nursing to patients in their own homes. To assume delegated responsibility for the supervision of the team in the absence of the District Nursing Team Leader, when required. Qualifications A Degree/Diploma in Adult Nursing First level registered nurse Experience working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team / multi‑agency working (Desirable) Understanding of undertaking complex assessments and the planning and evaluation of care package Excellent communication, both written and verbal Evidence of effective interpersonal skills Clinical risk assessment skills Problem‑solving and clinical decision making; understanding of NMC standards and implications to practice Ability to work independently in a community setting High clinical standards We have built organisation‑wide committees in many specialist fields. You’ll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country. We get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re‑design. You’ll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads. You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity. You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel). Package Description £18.71 an hour Self‑booking and access to all bank shifts Staff are given access to all bank shifts within their Business Unit and can self‑book providing they meet the shift requirements. Request a Duty – Staff can make shifts or Day Off requests prior to the creation of a roster up to six weeks in advance.
