This firm prides itself on a collaborative, quality-driven culture and delivers innovative design solutions across water and wastewater infrastructure projects nationwide.As a Principal Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in leading multidisciplinary design teams, providing technical direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, buildable, and sustainable civil engineering solutions. This position offers real career progression, professional development, and the opportunity to influence high-impact projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee the civil design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects.Produce and review technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.Undertake design calculations and analysis using industry-standard software.Coordinate civil design with mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines.Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide technical support during construction.Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality assurance across all outputs.Support business development activities, including bid preparation and client engagement.Maintain compliance with UK design standards, legislation and best practice guidance.8 Years' ExperienceBEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards professional status (ICE/IStructE/CIWEM).Minimum 8 years' experience delivering civil engineering designs in the UK water sector.Strong leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills.High-level competence in design tools such as Tekla, TEDDS, STAAD or AutoCAD.Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.Benefits & CultureCompetitive salary package with discretionary bonus.Employer pension contribution and life insurance.Hybrid working options and flexible hours.25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.Support for professional membership and CPD.Opportunities for career advancement within an inclusive, forward-thinking business.Contribution to meaningful water and environmental projects across the UK. #J-18808-Ljbffr
