Postdoctoral Research Associate in Behavioural Neuroscience Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN), Tinsley Building, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA and Biomedical Sciences Building, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate to work on a Wellcome Trust and Royal Society funded project investigating brain mechanisms of flexible behaviour. The role will be to develop a program of work investigating how brains use internal models of task and world structure to enable flexible goal‑directed behaviour. The experiments will involve recording and/or manipulating activity in the frontal cortex and the hippocampal formation of mice performing a schema learning task in a structured maze environment. The project will involve a range of physiology techniques, primarily high‑density silicon probe recordings in frontal and entorhinal cortices. The project builds on an ongoing collaboration between Tim Behrens, Mohamady El‑Gaby, Thomas Akam, and Mark Walton, which brings together researchers working with animal models, human neuroimaging and computational modelling, and the work will involve collaboration with researchers across these groups. Please see the below 'Job Description' for further details on the responsibilities and selection criteria, as well as further information about the university and how to apply. The post is full time for a fixed term until 31st December 2026 in the first instance. Only applications received before 12.00 midday on Tuesday 16th December will be considered.
