Client Group Overview The Client Group has a presence in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, and is composed of five main areas: Sales & Client Services works with financial intermediaries and institutions to offer diversified investment solutions that help clients build and preserve their wealth Business Development is a conduit to the firm’s investment teams and supports our clients and internal business partners through investment-platform and product content, messaging, competitive analysis and education Product Strategy & Development designs, develops and manages the firm’s global lineup of investment services and considers clients’ evolving needs to identify new opportunities Marketing promotes the firm and its services by creating, packaging and distributing content and messaging to engage diverse audiences through digital platforms and initiatives, strategic campaigns, and events Business Transformation looks to evolve and scale our business, leveraging digital and data, to drive top-line growth and improve profitability Job Summary AllianceBernstein’s Request for Proposal (RFP) team is in search of a RFP writer to play an integral role in business development and client service efforts through the completion of RFP, RFI, and due diligence requests for AllianceBernstein’s Equity Strategies. The writer will specialize in writing RFPs and Due Diligence Questionnaires for our equity institutional strategies, and onshore and offshore retail funds, while also contributing, where needed, to the completion of other projects and requests. As an RFP writer, the writer will be expected to be able to work directly and effectively with the firm’s Equity Product Management and Portfolio Management Teams to write and maintain (keep updated) original and technical product‑specific content to support our equity platform, and, importantly, to be able to effectively customize that content for specific sales situations as needed. The RFP Writer will also be expected to remain current on the equity markets as well as the current investment strategies being implemented in our firm’s equity strategies. As a writer, the candidate will be expected to handle a high volume of requests simultaneously and productively. Projects will be both new business development and client servicing‑related and include both standard and customized RFPs, Onboarding Questionnaires, and client Due Diligence Questionnaires. This position is located in our London office. Job Description Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Write a high volume of RFPs, RFIs, and Due Diligence Questionnaires for equity strategies across our global institutional and retail channels. Create and maintain equity related RFP language and content for assigned strategies of coverage, including investment process, research process, team information, and competitive advantages. Maintain consistent product messaging and updated product language and data in RFP Language database and on 25+ consultant and third‑party databases. Collaborate directly with Product Managers, Portfolio Managers, Research Heads, Traders, and others to update existing RFP language and develop new language. Customize final documents to reflect a nuanced and targeted response to the specific sales opportunity. Handle follow‑up work associated with RFPs moving to the next phase: coordinating answers, additional information, etc. Oversee production of final proposals (formatting, technical editing and reproduction). Field ad‑hoc questions from associates, advisors, and our offshore RFP Team daily as needed. Job Qualifications & Key Attributes The ideal candidate should have: Knowledge of the global institutional and retail markets, and the asset management industry. Prior experience with Equity services is preferred. Excellent and highly productive writer of technical investment material. Must be able to handle a high volume of projects simultaneously. Demonstrated desire and ability to learn technical info, including philosophy, research and investment processes of our products. Knowledge of GIPS regulations, Composite requirements, and FINRA and other Fund marketing regulations. Detail‑oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks to ensure that complex projects are completed by deadline, with interim review steps incorporated Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a large global organization. Demonstrated initiative and good judgment as well as the ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints. Interest in and ability to interact directly and effectively with Sales Advisors, Portfolio Managers and other investment professionals. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, and possess the ability to quickly master internal systems and applications. Experience with RFP Software required and experience with Responsive highly preferred. University education required. Minimum of 3 years RFP and industry experience preferred.
