Job Description Our client is a distinguished water treatment company known for delivering technical water treatment services to a diverse client base. They are recruiting an experienced, committed, and tenacious Water Treatment Account Manager based in and around the London area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record selling technical water treatment services to a mixed portfolio of contracts, with previous experience managing steam boilers, closed systems and cooling tower accounts. Some water treatment servicing duties will also be required within this role. Consideration will be given to applicants from Twickenham, Wembley, Epsom, Watford, Croydon, Enfield, Edgware and surrounding areas. Qualifications Good educational, management, accounts, sales, and business development background. Will ideally hold a degree or higher education certification in chemistry or another industry relevant subject. Good working knowledge of the water treatment industry. Considerable practical experience within water treatment roles such as a service engineer, water treatment engineer or service chemist. Previous experience in a water treatment sales role is essential. Experience managing a varied portfolio of cooling tower, steam boiler and closed system accounts. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient IT skills, including MS Office. Responsibilities Manage and develop a portfolio of water treatment accounts, including cooling towers, steam boilers and closed system accounts. Ensure that the water treatment programmes and processes are compliant with current guidelines. Secure, manage and develop key accounts – cross‑sell services whilst managing existing services. Undertake some practical water treatment servicing duties as required. Maintain effective management of existing accounts. Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues of all professional levels. Build and maintain good working relationships with clients. Attend to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Produce tenders and quotations. Meet targets – achieve goals. Deal with any issues appropriately and effectively. Attend meetings as and when required. Overall, the successful candidate will be commercially motivated, with excellent water treatment industry knowledge and will demonstrate a proven track record in sales/account management.
