The Role: As a Maintenance supervisor, you’ll lead and manage the Engineering Team to deliver functional objectives aligned with the Company Business Plan. You will work closely with Production, Operations, and Technical teams to improve equipment efficiency, develop people, embed lean practices, and ensure full regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, as well as leading improvement projects and ensuring a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, fire regulations, PAT testing, pressure systems, COSHH, RIDDOR, and company policies Lead preventative maintenance and address engineering issues impacting production Oversee equipment installation, repair, and replacement Manage and develop engineering staff and shift engineers Deliver and monitor functional budgets with the General Manager Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for machinery and part procurement Drive continuous improvement in equipment effectiveness and efficiency Support environmental and sustainability initiatives (e.g. WECO usage) Train staff on new machinery and systems Monitor machine availability and performance metrics Key Requirements: Qualifications: HNC in Engineering or equivalent Time‑served apprenticeship (electrical/mechanical/steam) Experience: Proven experience in an engineering leadership role Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, 13485, LSAS & EN14065 (Healthcare) Budget management and project planning experience Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance systems Skills: Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills; knowledge of utility usage metrics and machine availability tracking; effective written and verbal communication.
