The Role We are seeking a motivated and resilient Trainee Teacher with a passion for Maths and Biology to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to begin their teaching journey in a highly supportive environment, gaining hands‑on experience from day one. You will Deliver engaging and accessible lessons in Maths and Biology to KS3 and KS4 learners. Work with small groups of students Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with SEMH or SEND. Contribute to a positive and supportive culture across the centre. Receive mentoring, support, and guidance towards completing a teacher training qualification. What we’re looking for We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including recent graduates, sports coaches, teaching assistants or professionals looking for a career change into teaching. Strong subject knowledge in Maths and/or Biology A degree in a Maths, Science, or related subject. A genuine passion for supporting young people. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Patience, empathy and resilience in a challenging but rewarding environment. Willingness to undertake teacher training while working. Ability to work as part of a small, committed team. Experience working in schools, alternative provision, youth work or coaching. Experience supporting young people with SEMH and/or behavioural needs. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles. Ability to contribute to wider school life (e.g., sport, physical activity, outreach and enrichment). What we offer Annual salary of £22,800.
