Permanent, full‑time or term‑time only. What will you do as an Exams Officer? Assist the Deputy Headteacher (Assessment, Recording and Reporting) and Data Manager. Establish, maintain and develop efficient and effective school data processes and systems. Run each academic and pastoral reporting session – setting up mechanisms for data collection, printing, distribution and analysis of internal exams and key‑stage results. Carry out specific, advanced data analysis for interested parties, including: Vulnerable group progress tracking School‑focused progress tracking analysis (conditional formatting) Exams residual analysis Provide ad‑hoc analysis/reporting as required, consulting with stakeholders and applying analytical thinking to resolve problems. Assist with SIMS database tasks such as new student admissions, timetable updates, changes to student records (e.g., parental contacts, address, medical info), uploading/downloading Common Transfer Files (CTFs) and completing, reconciling and submitting school censuses. Perform other duties commensurate with the grade, e.g. examination and assessment administration, exam season preparation, data collection for registration and entry, checking and processing, liaison with course leaders, estimated and actual grades collection, coursework mark collection and despatch, photocopying and filing. Manage entry documentation and timetable issuance to candidates. Identify and resolve exam clashes. Process and issue results to candidates and staff, including results lists and documentation. Coordinate access arrangements/special consideration, enquiry publications and exam budget management. Check receipt and secure storage of confidential materials. Maintain day‑to‑day contact with awarding bodies. Develop exam timetables (including for SATS and internal exams). Manage post‑results services and, if necessary, malpractice procedures. Ensure efficient office environment through circulation and logging of information. Manage assessment and target‑setting data for all students. Analyze data alongside the Deputy Headteacher. Exceptional organisational skills and time management. Ideal: previous experience in a similar role in a school or FE environment (not essential). Background in data or SIMS.
