Our client, a leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying the Defence, Aerospace and Nuclear sectors, is seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to lead their quality function. This is a key leadership role ensuring all products meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.
As the Quality Manager, you will take ownership of maintaining quality approvals, managing internal and external audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring robust quality controls throughout the manufacturing process.

Job Description
Lead and develop the Quality department to achieve business and customer objectives.
Maintain and manage key certifications and approvals including AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, NADCAP (NDT), R-R SABRE, and GS3001.
Manage internal and external audit programmes, ensuring timely closure of non-conformances.
Oversee training and development of the Quality team through an effective skills and competency matrix.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS).
Implement and monitor robust quality control processes across manufacturing operations.
Lead the resolution of customer complaints and employ quality tools to prevent recurrence.
Manage business KPIs related to quality and prepare reports for management review.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality Management role within precision engineering.
Background in Aerospace, Defence, or Nuclear sectors.
Strong working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001, ISO45001, and NADCAP.
Trained Internal Auditor with demonstrable Quality Control and Assurance experience.
Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and first-principles measurement.
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection
