Overview As a Systems Engineer you will deliver a range of service across a broad spectrum of science and engineering disciplines including research and development, independent and technical specialist advice and independent test and evaluation to clients in QinetiQ's Airborne Anti‑Submarine Warfare team. Day‑to‑day, you will work with a team that works closely with its customers to design and implement advanced solutions that address real‑world challenges. Responsibilities Problem solving and the application of science underpinned by a tailored life‑cycle approach e.g. Systems/Software Engineering lifecycle. Using rapid‑prototyping techniques to inform system design decisions. Being a self‑motivated team member and taking ownership of tasks while collaborating within a dynamic team. Supporting the delivery of acoustic systems that require sensor simulation and aircraft simulation with high‑fidelity test signals. Being hands‑on with a dynamic team delivering mission‑winning innovation. Understanding Systems/Software engineering lifecycle. Previous experience in the Systems Engineering discipline. The ability to problem‑solve and apply application. Proven experience working within a team. Essential Qualifications A degree in Physics, Mathematics, Oceanography, Electronics or a relevant engineering discipline.
