Special Needs Specialists – Day-to-day supply starting as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for Special Needs Specialists who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll work with a range of schools in Hillingdon and surrounding areas, supporting pupils with diverse needs and helping create inclusive learning environments. Duties as Special Needs Specialist Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being Support pupils in developing social and communication skills Maintain accurate records and report progress to senior staff Ideal Special Needs Specialist Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and other needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic about making a difference Why Step Teachers?
