As RF Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of Pragmatic Semiconductor’s FlexIC products. This involves working within a highly skilled team of Engineers who are focused on the development of automated, volume test solutions. Working with colleagues from the adjacent Device and IC Validation teams, the role is centred around the development, execution and optimisation of wafer‑level test cases and the presentation of data to project stakeholders. The successful applicant will work on the development and roll‑out of RF test case – from planning, design and implementation to the transfer to production and beyond. Key Areas of Responsibility RF/Analogue Test Design and Implementation – working with internal stakeholders to provide input to validation and production test system design. RF/Analogue skills are also used for the analysis of some of the measurement data which the team generates. Automation of Test Cases – working on the automation of hardware test cases and their integration into Pragmatic’s systems, using a variety of test hardware including test equipment such as SMUs, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Network Analysers and ATE wafer probers. Communication with Varied Stakeholders – communicating with and working alongside a variety of stakeholders at Pragmatic with the requirement to partner with and present information to technical partners both internal and external to the team. Qualifications and Training Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or scientific subject, or equivalent career experience. Formal training in RF/Analogue design or test, providing a grounding in key concepts. This could be either modules within a degree course or on‑the‑job training. Evidence that you have actively developed your skillset during your career to date. Essential Skills and Experience Industrial experience in test engineering. RF/Analogue electronics knowledge with demonstrable practical experience of applying that knowledge to solve engineering problems. Experience of software automation with practical experience in at least one common programming language such as Python, LabVIEW, C#, C++. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of partners. Desirable Skills and Experience Demonstrable, practical experience of designing and implementing test cases in a hardware environment. Experience of data analysis and presentation, with examples of where this has been applied to real‑world engineering problems. Experience of software development lifecycle and tools, with experience of working with or as part of Scrum teams. Experience of reviewing hardware designs for volume test environments.
