ACU is a 27‑bedded Cardiac Unit. If you are successful you will work within a specialised area, providing high‑quality care to patients with a variety of cardiac conditions including heart failure, ischaemic heart disease, myocardial infarction, valve disease and endocarditis. Working within this specialty you will be expected to take on extended roles associated with the specialism. The ward is supported by an enthusiastic and established multidisciplinary team. When required, liaise and work collaboratively with other specialties to ensure the consistent management of patients. Provide individualised education and psychological support to patients and their relatives. Determine barriers to client education and/or health behaviour change. Person Specification Experience NMC PIN Experience working in an acute hospital setting or the ability to utilise pre‑registration experience to demonstrate an understanding of the relevant settings. Evidence of working in cardiology. Experience of working in a Level 2/3 patient care setting. Skills Basic computer skills. Administration of medications and/or treatments as prescribed according to the NMC guidelines and Trust Policy. Ability to write clear and succinct reports. ECG training.
