Harnham | Nottingham, England, United Kingdom Head of Data Management A massive transformation is underway, and this business is looking for a data leader who’s ready to take the reins. This is a brand-new role with huge scope — the chance to rebuild how an organisation thinks about, governs, and uses its data from the ground up. Reporting directly into the Director, you’ll lead a team of 12 (including four Managers) and take full ownership of data management, governance, and the full data lifecycle. This is a high-impact, highly visible position where you’ll be working closely with Senior Leadership, Technology, Risk and the CDO to drive real change across data quality, privacy and compliance. THE ROLE Own and deliver the enterprise Data Management Strategy Lead data stewardship across analytical, operational and policy environments Evolve and mature data governance, data quality frameworks and risk processes Oversee the full data lifecycle – ensuring data is discoverable, trusted and well governed Partner with senior leaders, Risk, the DPO and Technology to meet regulatory standards Play a central role in a major enterprise-wide data transformation TECHNICAL SKILLSET Strong experience with ETL, APIs and modern cloud data platforms Skilled in SQL and Python (automation a strong advantage) Knowledge of data quality tools (e.g. Informatica) Understanding of data governance frameworks, lifecycle management and architecture Experience working in regulated environments or data-risk heavy settings is a big plus WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR A proven people leader who has developed and managed high-performing teams Someone who has delivered data management or governance transformations Strong grasp of regulations and data policy (GDPR experience highly beneficial) Confident influencing senior stakeholders and simplifying complex data topics Suitable backgrounds: Data Management, Governance, Data Quality, Architecture, or technical leaders who’ve moved into strategic roles WHY APPLY?
