Contracted hours are 9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, with occasional work outside these hours for meetings and promotional events. You will be entitled to 30 days' annual leave per year, rising to 32 days after five years' service, plus bank holidays. As a Clinical Practice Educator focused on SEND, you’ll benefit from ongoing professional development, access to further training, mentorship programmes, and opportunities to advance within the service. This post is offered on a fixed‑term basis for 12 months to cover a secondment, and may be extended or made permanent depending on service needs. Responsibilities Developing and implementing SEND educational resources and programmes. Evaluating learning outcomes and providing feedback to ensure high standards of care across the Early Years landscape. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice and continuous improvement with a focus on SEND. Qualifications Relevant qualifications, including registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor or School Nurse), Practice Assessor qualification (or equivalent), continued professional development, and a full UK driving licence with access to own transport. Comprehensive knowledge of public health nursing, child development, safeguarding, and the SEND Code of Practice. Significant experience in community public health nursing, with a proven record of supporting children and young people with SEND and their families, and effective multi‑agency collaboration. Demonstrated ability to deliver education, training, or mentoring to colleagues and external partners, alongside experience in leading service improvement projects. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with expertise in service evaluation and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
