Transplant Administrator The closing date is 07 December 2025 An exciting opportunity has become available for a self‑motivated individual to join the Transplant Directorate to provide high quality administrative support. We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational skills and communication skills and who can work well under pressure. You must be able to work well within a team and be able to manage and organise your own workload, prioritising and delegating work as necessary. Main duties of the job To provide complete administration support to the Transplant service. To be confident in communicating both face to face and also via the telephone to ensure an efficient service is provided to all departments and external sources. This job description is intended as a guide to the main responsibilities of the post, and Transplant Administrator will be required to undertake such duties appropriate to the position as may be required by the Consultants, Transplant Coordinators and/or Line Manager to ensure the smooth running of the service. Person Specification Qualifications Educated to A Level or Level 3 Business Admin / IT qualification or equivalent experience including English GCSE pass at G 4 or above, Maths GCSE pass at Grade 4 or above Touch Typing Certificate or equivalent experience Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent Experience Experience of administrative work and working in a busy office environment Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks Working within guidelines and developing administrative processes Customer Service and dealing with enquiries in difficult situations Data entry and producing reports Experience of IT packages - Microsoft Office Secretarial and/or administrative including Diary Management, Co‑ordinating and arranging meetings, Minute Taking and Developing Templates and prioritisation of workload Allocate and monitor work of others Audio Typing experience Familiarity with EPIC computer system Experience of working in the NHS Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations Knowledge Understanding Confidentiality and Data Protection Understanding of Customer Services Office Procedures Knowledge of Trust Information Systems Knowledge of Medical Terminology Skills Ability to work as part of a team Excellent communication skills including telephone, e‑mail and face to face Ability to organise and manage own timekeeping to schedule and deadlines Ability to adapt to change Ability to work under pressure Ability to store and safeguard confidential documents, both electronic and hard copy Ability to show attention to detail and accuracy Willing to take on and learn new skills Good organisation skills Ability to use on initiative and work autonomously High level of ability to organise and manage own time keeping to schedule and deadlines Ability to touch type Additional Requirements The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent.
