You will be working on a very modern technology stack alongside colleagues who are committed to maturing and improving all areas within the product and software lifecycle. Your Key Responsibilities Work within the team to deliver high quality software to our customers Drive towards professional coding, lead colleagues by championing agreed coding standards Promote and facilitate communication Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to drive the continuous improvement of our Ratings platform Work closely with the team to drive comprehensive automated tests and performance tests Design, create and evolve applications to be scalable, maintainable, secure and aesthetic Our Technology and Tools Latest versions of .Net (up to version 8) Angular Azure Dev Ops for Pipeline management GIT Blazor MongoDB Microservice architecture Fully hosted in Azure including Service Fabric, WebApps, Datalake, Storage, EventHub, App Insights, DataBricks SignalR CI/CD Agile Principles Essential Requirements Proven professional experience in software development Experience working within a cross-functional delivery team Experience supporting software in a production environment Expertise in C# and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Expertise in WebAPI Expertise in Unit Testing Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, SQLite) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) Experience of code review practices Experience in Web Development (HTML, CSS & JavaScript) Experience in at least one Agile Framework Desirable Experience with evolving architectures Experience with cloud-native architecture (Azure, AWS or GCP) Experience working with Agile Programming methods Working knowledge of GIT usages and pull request etiquette Working knowledge in JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Svelte, Vue, AngularJS, Knockout) Interest in containerisation (Kubernetes / Docker) Experience of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) Other Information Mission and Values Our Mission Is To Be Both The Technology Partner And Employer Of Choice For The UK General Insurance Market.
