This position is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their career in geotechnical engineering and looking to become a chartered geologist (CGeol) or engineer (CEng). You will be able to benefit from on-the-job training from our team of industry professionals and will receive full guidance in working towards chartered status. Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Engineer SLR are global leaders in environmental and advisory solutions, helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals. The Opportunity Site based Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) supervision for major landfill and containment projects such as gas infrastructure installation, landfill cell construction, landfill capping, earth works, compaction and restoration works, plus supervision of other geotechnical site investigations and construction projects. Supplement site works with detailed design development, interpretive and factual reporting, laboratory testing scheduling, health and safety risk assessment, and planning. Involvement in day‑to‑day project operations around the north of England with potential for overseas work. You Motivated and organised Engineer, chartered or working towards chartered status, with a degree in Civil Engineering, Waste Management, Applied Geology, Engineering Geology, or Environmental Geology (MSc a bonus). Understand landfill guidance, design, construction, CQA, and site investigation and monitoring strategies with sound engineering knowledge. Experience in data collection, assessment and reporting on CQA protocol and waste‑related engineering containment and landfill site design is a plus. Excellent communication skills. Full UK driving licence essential.
