What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved We have a fantastic opportunity for a diligent and highly organised Senior Temporary Housing Officer to join our Temporary Accommodation team. The council has a statutory responsibility to provide temporary housing to vulnerable households threatened with or have become homeless. You will deliver a high standard of day to day operational services and ensure the accommodation remains clean, safe and health and safety compliant to our residents. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a coordinated, efficientand effective temporary accommodation service, with the aim to continually improve the quality of life and levels of satisfaction for all households living in temporary accommodation. This is an exciting time to join the team in this varied role we continue to build a diverse property portfolio of temporary accommodation consisting of council owned stock, leased accommodation, hostels and nightly paid accommodation located within and outside Camden borough. To be consider for this exciting opportunity it is essential the successful candidate is educated to A Level, NVQ Level or equivalent. You will have previous demonstrable experience managing a busy housing team or in a property management environment. You will, have an excellent working knowledge of welfare benefits and the ability to train colleagues to assist clients apply for the appropriate benefits to maximise tenancy sustainment. The post holder will also have a good understanding of the Housing Act 1996 Part VII in relation to the provision and management of temporary accommodation.
