Job Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimising production processes across the full product lifecycle. The Manufacturing Engineer will analyse existing manufacturing methods, drive improvements, and implement high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions that enhance efficiency and production outputs. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the Manufacturing Engineer will champion robust manufacturing principles, support daily production operations, and help ensure that product quality, delivery, and performance targets are met. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands‑on engineering environment and enjoys solving complex production challenges. Key Responsibilities Optimising and maintaining manufacturing processes in line with quality standards including ISO 9001. Ensuring robust processes that meet product yield, quality, and time expectations. Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities. Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing cost‑saving improvements. Designing and implementing manufacturing routings within the MRP system. Supporting production teams with day‑to‑day engineering issues and technical guidance. Producing clear, accurate work instructions and documentation using CAD. Contributing to safety initiatives, audits, and root‑cause investigations. Staying current with modern manufacturing technologies to support future capability. This Manufacturing Engineer role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Skills & Experience Essential: Degree/HND or equivalent experience in Engineering or Manufacturing. 3+ years' electrical/electronic practical production engineering experience. Strong electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring capability. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean principles. Proficient with CAD, Microsoft Office, and MRP systems. Strong communication skills and ability to create detailed work instructions. Proven track record of process improvement and cost‑saving initiatives. Desirable: Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, programming languages, Six Sigma or Industry 4.0 technologies.
