You will lead high-profile projects and strategic initiatives across the UK, collaborating with global teams to shape connected, accessible, and future-ready mobility networks. This is your opportunity to drive industry-leading outcomes, mentor talented professionals, and play a pivotal part in the growth and reputation of our Transport Planning business.Role AccountabilitiesLead and deliver high-quality transport planning projects, driving exceptional client satisfaction and repeat business.Direct and manage project teams and key accounts, optimizing the use of global resources and innovative delivery models.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a market-facing lead for Transport Strategy and Policy in the Midlands and beyond.Support the growth and capability development of the transport planning team, identifying skills needs and nurturing talent.Champion the deployment of digital tools and automated solutions to improve efficiency and create market differentiation.Collaborate with cross-sector solution leads and technical advisory leadership to win new work and support brand recognition for Arcadis.Foster a culture of high performance, inclusion, and sustainability across geographically dispersed teams.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, with at least 15 years’ experience in transport planning, preferably within a multinational engineering or professional services environment.Proven leadership in delivering high-quality transport planning services and managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams.Industry recognition as a technical expert, with strong links to professional bodies.Excellent commercial acumen, decision-making capabilities, and strategic focus.Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and inspire diverse teams and collaborate at all levels.Track record of successfully winning work, developing client relationships, and supporting business growth.Demonstrated commitment to digitalization, innovation, and continuous learning.Experience managing large-scale projects, optimizing resources, and ensuring commercial performance.Pragmatic, resilient, adaptable, and passionate about improving quality of life and embedding sustainability in all you do.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
