We at Grounds Care Group have a great opportunity for a full‑time Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our busy but friendly team in the Northampton and surrounding areas. We are offering a competitive salary of £28,000 to £28,500 per annum (£13.46–£13.70 per hour) (dependent upon skills and experience), on a permanent contract. About Grounds Care Group We carry out Grounds Maintenance, Landscape Improvement Works, Bulk Waste Removal, Japanese Knotweed Treatments, Gritting/Snow Clearance and Winter Maintenance Services for multiple clients across the UK. Job Overview As a Team Leader you will be responsible for a range of tasks including grass cutting, strimming, shrub, bed and hedge maintenance, leaf clearance, planting, turfing, gritting and snow clearance. You will undertake general grounds maintenance using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery. This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, both independently and as part of a team. Team Leader Responsibilities Ensure all works allocated to the team are completed within the specified timescale and to a high standard. Maintain machinery in good working order. Manage the team, ensuring all members know what is expected of them. Understand site/client needs and communicate these within the team. Be proactive with the work schedule, anticipating upcoming works and any specific requirements. Suggest recommendations for the site and additional works. Have an excellent understanding of mobile applications. Apply Health & Safety principles, ensuring tasks comply with company RAMS. Ensure all work is performed according to company policies, standards and values. Carry out work professionally and to the highest possible standard. Essential Skills and Experience Previous experience in grounds maintenance. PA1 / PA6 certificates. Full UK driving licence. Team player with initiative. Strong understanding of mobile applications.
