Construction Studies Lecturer Employer: GEDU Global Education Department: Academic/Pearson Location: Birmingham (On‑Site) Salary: £51,000 Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) Visa: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Role Overview We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach at the undergraduate level as part of our HND Construction Management programme. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. The role will involve delivering modules on construction management, including the legal, environmental and technological context of today’s construction industry. Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met. Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate. Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials. Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties. Stay current with developments in the field and student support practices. Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression. Requirements Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Have previous UK HE teaching experience in the wider subject area. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Accurate reporting and thorough, organised student records. Work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Work effectively with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years. Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes.
