Veterinary Surgeon

An exciting opportunity for an Experienced Equine vet to join an enthusiastic, friendly, forward thinking and established team in the Highlands of Scotland. The practice is superbly located on the door step of an outdoor enthusiast’s playground close to both mountains and sea giving easy access to skiing, mountain biking, mountaineering, climbing and water-sports. We are an ambulatory and clinic based practice close to Inverness (has an airport and good transport hub), with inpatient facilities including stables, stocks, large treatment area, knockdown/recovery room, trot up and arena facilities. The practice is also fully equipped with DR - X ray, ultrasound, endoscopes, gastroscope, motorised dental equipment and shockwave. We also have frequent clinic days with regular visiting specialists. About the role You would be joining a dedicated team committed to clinical excellence on a 1 in 5 shared OOH rota. The position comes with a competitive salary and a relocation package. This job offers a chance to engage in equine only veterinary work in a fantastic part of the world. RCVS registered with equine experience and proven capabilities in lameness work ups, pre-purchase examinations, routine minor surgical procedures and castrations. Training and mentoring of other team members would also be a part of the role, so applicants should be happy to be involved with the development of their colleagues.
