OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver with a full, clean UK driving licence for our client based in the West London area. When not working in the warehouse, the successful Delivery Driver candidate shall assist with the deliveries of high quality goods manufactured by our multi-national client.This role provides opportunity for development and progression within the company on a permanent basis.Main duties / responsibilitiesPicking and packingLoading and offloading vehicles and trailersDay-to-day administrationParticipation in the stock takeFilling in of Check Sheets, Delivery NotesWeighing and labeling of goodsPallet strapping and shrink wrappingWhen not working in the warehouse, the Warehouse Operative / Driver candidate shall be conducting deliveries of the company's high quality goods, driving a 3.5 ton VehicleEssential driver candidate requirementsMust hold a full, clean UK driving licenceProvide a friendly and helpful response to customer enquiries to their total satisfaction in order to contribute to the distribution team’s goal of improving service levels to be the best in the industryIdentify and work with third party distribution providers, identify potential problems to ensure the smooth flow of orders and customer satisfactionEnsure that complaints, as they affect your direct responsibility, are promptly dealt with, in a professional mannerMaintain company property to the required standardRepresent the company in a business-like manner and maintain a standard of dress and appearance in keeping with the job and position within the companyAs an employee, you have a legal duty to take reasonable care of yourself and others and to co-operate with management on all aspects of health and safety, as set out in the Employee Safety HandbookNeed previous experience of the Health and Safety standards of the warehouseBe prepared to assist with out-of-hours services to customers when the need arises, as well as any ad hoc duties as required by the Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or a DirectorA Forklift / Counter Balance licence would be an advantageExcellent grasp and understanding of Maths and English written and verbal is essentialHours07:30am - 5pm Monday to FridayYou must be prepared to work longer hours to meet company targetsThis is inclusive of London living wage; the standard hourly rate is £13 with agency.
